The Bunny Trail children’s run is a relaxed, playful, and completely non-competitive event designed for our youngest participants. It takes place in a safe environment by Kočevje Lake and is meant as a first, positive introduction to movement in nature.
The course is approximately 300 meters long and runs within the festival venue. Children can run independently or together with their parents. The focus is on fun, movement, and experience—not on time or results.
The run is free of charge, and together with our partners we will prepare small practical gifts for all participants.

Each child must be registered individually via the registration form.
Bib numbers can be collected between 14:00 and 15:00 at the shop area at the Kočevsko Outdoor Festival venue.

Childcare
So that parents can run their chosen distance without worry, organized childcare for children aged 5+ will be available at the event venue on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
The children will be cared for by Luna Hočevar, a preschool educator. They will enjoy a variety of fun activities and games in a safe and supervised environment. Face painting will also be available.
The goal is to ensure children have a great time while parents enjoy a relaxed festival experience.

Rich accompanying program
The Kočevsko Outdoor Festival is not just a running event, but a complete family festival experience in nature. By the scenic Kočevje Lake, a diverse accompanying program will run throughout the entire weekend.
Friday: talks and content focused on nature and Kočevje’s wildlife
Saturday: festival activities, active program, and the competitive highlight
Sunday: guided tours, visits, and relaxed exploration of the surroundings
The lake and its surroundings also offer opportunities for relaxation, cooling off, and various water activities.
